GETTING HEALTHY FOR FIFTY
11/1/2023 0 Comments "Step" in the right directionToday started out bad from the beginning. I had a late night with the dog, didn't get to sleep till after 2am. Then she woke me up at 5am, then again at 7am. I like to wake up at 10:30 or before.
I didn't wake up until 12:30! There went half of my day! Then there's the hour long PT pump for my Lymphedema, and we're heading into late afternoon. Add in that I was just plain tired all day. My mood was dark and I was cranky. The late hour getting started messed up all my meals, and a well planned out egg beaters with red peppers, spinach, and whole wheat toast for breakfast turned into a bagel and cream cheese. #sadface #lazy #nomoodtocook I had to add in a late lunch, and whip up something not too calorie heavy for dinner. Steps? Yeah right. From the get-go I came to the realization there was no way I was getting my steps in today. Noom has my goal at 4400 today. I failed yesterday for only the second time since I started. At around 6pm, I decided I wanted to give it my best shot. Yes, I was tired, but staying on the couch would only make that worse. So I got up and began to walk. I kept it up. My goal was far away, but at least I was trying. By 10pm I had REACHED MY STEP GOAL! For such a crappy day, this really made me feel good. I may not have eaten the best foods today, but I stayed in my calorie window, and I hit my step goal! Today that is my STEP in the right direction!
